Rod Rosenstein is reportedly channeling Martin Luther as he waits to be fired

President Trump's growing frustration with the Justice Department has led Rod Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, to believe that he will be fired soon.

Rosenstein, who has faced public criticism from Trump this week via Twitter, is prepared to be fired, sources told NBC News, and has reportedly accepted this eventuality. He has even taken to quoting Martin Luther: "Here I stand," he has reportedly said in private conversations, invoking the German monk's famous refrain, "Here I stand, I can do no other."
